The Gauteng Department of Health invites suitably qualified and experienced Professional Nurses to apply for the position of Assistant Manager Nursing (General) PNA 7 – HAST & TB Unit.

Minimum Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Nursing accredited with SANC (Government Notice R425)
Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)
Minimum of 8 years’ post-registration experience in General Nursing
At least 3 years’ management experience at HAST/TB Coordinator or Operational Manager level
Recognised clinical experience in HAST and TB services
Diploma or Degree in Nursing Management (mandatory)
Computer literacy (mandatory)
Valid driver’s licence
Knowledge of Public Service, Health and Nursing legislation
Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills

Key Responsibilities

Implement the TB Recovery Plan and HAST strategies in line with 95-95-95 targets
Coordinate TB, DR-TB and HIV programme implementation
Monitor treatment initiation, retention in care, completion rates, and LTFU
Oversee quality assurance, IPC, and patient safety programmes
Support development and monitoring of district TB business plans and budgets
Strengthen TB/HIV integrated health information systems
Liaise with government, community and health sector stakeholders
Conduct quarterly performance reviews and reporting
Participate in hospital operational planning and after-hours supervision
