The Gauteng Department of Health invites applications for the position of Cleaner at South Rand Hospital. This opportunity is ideal for hardworking and motivated individuals with experience in a hospital or healthcare environment.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 10 / AET Level 5 to Grade 12 certificate
• One (1) year experience in a hospital environment
• Knowledge of Batho Pele Principles, Patient Rights Charter, and Occupational Health & Safety Act
• Ability to read and write
• Good customer service skills
• Self-driven and able to work in a team
• Willingness to work shifts

Key Duties

• Clean wards, offices, corridors, boardrooms, kitchens, and restrooms
• Clean floors, walls, windows, and doors
• Maintain cleaning equipment and report faulty tools
• Follow Infection Prevention and Control policies
• Promote patient safety and assist in handling complaints
• Ensure compliance with the Ideal Hospital Framework and Batho Pele principles
