The Construction Education and Training Authority (CETA) is inviting applications for the position of Officer: Quality Assurance (EC) based in East London, Eastern Cape.

This is a permanent opportunity for experienced professionals in quality assurance, education and training, and accreditation management.

Job Purpose
The Officer: Quality Assurance will provide coordination and administrative support to the Quality Assurance Unit to ensure effective accreditation processes and project implementation aligned with CETA’s strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support budgeting and tactical work planning
  • Assist in implementing the CETA Quality Assurance Framework
  • Maintain and manage accreditation databases
  • Conduct quality assurance on accredited providers and workplaces
  • Monitor learner achievements against quality standards
  • Compile monthly performance and EXCO reports
  • Develop and maintain reporting templates and SOPs
  • Support audits and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Monitor project performance and address implementation gaps
  • Supervise and mentor interns within the unit
  • Ensure compliance with PFMA, SDA, SDLA, NQF Act and NSDP 2030

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric / Grade 12
  • Diploma or Advanced Certificate (NQF Level 6+) in:
    • Behavioural Sciences
    • Education and Training
    • Relevant Field
  • Assessor and Moderator Unit Standards
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • 3–5 years relevant experience (1–2 years supervisory experience required)

Added Advantage: Qualification in Construction and Built Environment (NQF 6).

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Accreditation knowledge and protocols
  • Knowledge of PSET sector legislation
  • Strong business report writing skills
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis
  • Project management skills
  • Understanding of PFMA and governance frameworks
