CETA is inviting applications for the Internship: Strategic Planning and Reporting (Reference: CETA-I18) based in Midrand. This opportunity is open to unemployed South African graduates seeking workplace experience in strategic planning, reporting, and public sector administration.
Location: Midrand, South Africa
Job Type: Contract (1–2 Years)
Salary: R8,000 per month
Closing Date: 11 March 2026 at 23h59
Internship Responsibilities
Interns will be exposed to the following functions:
- Perform administrative and entry-level tasks within the unit
- Handle correspondence and maintain records and files
- Assist with budgeting coordination processes
- Support audit preparation and information gathering
- Collate data for monthly and quarterly reports
- Prepare meeting agendas and take minutes
- Assist with presentations (at least one per quarter)
- Participate in structured rotational planning within divisions
- Perform delegated duties from supervisors and managers
Intern progress will be formally reviewed quarterly.
Core Competencies
Interns will develop knowledge in:
- CETA mandate and SETA landscape
- Public sector regulatory frameworks
- Skills Development Act, PFMA, Tax Laws, BBBEE
- Employment Equity and Affirmative Action policies
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be a South African citizen under 35 years old
- Have a valid South African ID
- Hold a relevant post-matric qualification
- Not have participated in a SETA internship before
- Not have been previously employed

- Bachelor / ND Business Management
- BCom / Bachelor in Statistics
- Bachelor / BTech in Public Administration
