You will play a key role in ensuring accurate transaction processing, statement reconciliation, and efficient resolution of payment-related queries.
Key Responsibilities
Payments & Transaction Processing
- Source and manage statement data accurately
- Capture and process manual credits within required timeframes
- Monitor payment transactions and ensure accuracy of financial records
- Support end-to-end banking payment operations
Query & Issue Resolution
- Resolve internal and external queries within SLA timelines
- Escalate discrepancies in data or statements where necessary
- Support resolution of operational and product-related issues
- Prioritise VIP and high-urgency queries
Communication & Coordination
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external service providers
- Monitor processor queries and ensure timely responses
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve operational issues
- Maintain clear documentation of issues and resolutions
Operational Monitoring & Analysis
- Identify data inconsistencies and payment discrepancies
- Monitor transaction patterns linked to sporting events or peak activity
- Support financial operations during high-volume periods
- Assist in improving operational efficiency and automation opportunities
Continuous Improvement
- Identify process improvement opportunities
- Support automation and workflow optimisation initiatives
- Continuously develop knowledge of financial systems and processes
- Contribute to improving operational performance and service delivery
Minimum Requirements
- Strong computer literacy with basic Excel knowledge
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Relevant tertiary qualification (BCom or similar) OR currently studying towards one
Advantageous Experience
- Experience in banking operations or payment processing
