About the Position
Ekurhuleni West TVET College (EWC) invites suitably qualified and experienced candidates to apply for the position of Chief Registry Clerk (Human Resource Administration) based at the Corporate Centre in Germiston. The successful candidate will supervise the registry function within Human Resources and support key HR administrative processes.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric Certificate/Grade 12 or equivalent
- Recognised National Diploma/Degree in Archive and Records Management / Business Administration or equivalent (NQF level 6/7)
- 1–2 years’ experience in Registry and Human Resources
- A valid driver’s licence (advantageous)
- Knowledge of ITS and PERSAL (added advantage)

Key Duties & Responsibilities
1. Supervise and Render an Effective Filing and Record Management Service
- Open and close files according to the approved record classification system
- File, store, trace (electronically and manually) and retrieve documents and files
- Safeguard all Human Resource records
- Update personnel files regularly
- Provide records as required for auditing and verification purposes
- Dispose of files in terms of applicable legislation and approved College policies
2. Assist in Recruitment and Selection
- Process applications, handle responses and coordinate shortlisting processes
- Prepare for interviews, including arrangements of dates, venues and invitations
- Develop and maintain an up‑to‑date recruitment database
- Ensure accuracy and regular updating of the Human Resource Information System (HRIS)
3. Assist with Conditions of Service and Remuneration
- Maintain and update staff files
- Compile and submit HR reports to management as required
- Process payroll for all employees and handle related administration and queries (including Pension Fund matters)
- Process Pension, Housing Allowance, Long Service benefits and related benefits
- Supervise, guide and support HR staff under your supervision
- Manage performance agreements, development and performance of staff in the unit
