Job Title: Flight Operations Administrator

FlySafair is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Flight Operations Administrator to support the Flight Operations team and Chief Pilot.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, structured environment and has strong administrative and coordination skills.

Job Description

The successful candidate will provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to the Flight Operations department, ensuring efficient communication, documentation, and coordination across teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Flight Operations team and Chief Pilot
  • Manage incoming calls, emails, and correspondence
  • Schedule meetings, appointments, and coordinate logistics
  • Prepare meeting agendas and take accurate minutes
  • Maintain organized filing systems for compliance and audits
  • Act as a point of contact for Flight Deck crew queries
  • Liaise with Rostering, Training, and HR departments
  • Support onboarding and documentation for new crew members
  • Manage and update crew-related records and reports
  • Assist with iPad setup, troubleshooting, and distribution
  • Compile and prepare operational reports (seniority lists, leave reports, etc.)
  • Ensure all operational documents are up-to-date and compliant
  • Monitor deadlines and ensure timely reporting and system updates

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric (Essential)
  • 1–3 years’ experience in office administration
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure

Advantageous

  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • Experience in aviation or operations environments
