Job Overview
We are hiring a Food Service Assistant in Pretoria to join the catering division of Tsebo Solutions Group.
This role is ideal for individuals passionate about food preparation, customer service, and maintaining high hygiene standards in a fast-paced catering environment.
You will assist in meal preparation, serving customers, and ensuring clean and safe kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation & Service
- Prepare high-quality meals, sandwiches, and fast foods
- Serve meals and beverages to customers
- Ensure consistency and quality in food preparation
Hygiene & Cleaning
- Maintain high hygiene and cleanliness standards
- Clean kitchen and service areas
- Assist with waste removal and washing up
Stock & Operations
- Assist with stock-takes
- Support loss prevention procedures
- Maintain proper food handling standards
Customer Service
- Provide excellent customer service at all times
- Build positive relationships with customers
- Ensure professional and friendly service
Minimum Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Experience in food service (advantageous)
- Ability to work under pressure
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Willingness to follow hygiene and safety standards
