MECHATRONICS FACILITATOR (GERMISTON)

Facilitator – Mechatronics

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

• National Diploma/Degree in Mechatronics;
• Training/Facilitation skills;
• Trade Test in Millwright;
• POE development and learning evidence collection skills;
• Mechatronics Technician apprenticeship NQF Level 5.

The following will be an advantage:

• Facilitation experience;
• Assessor and Moderator registration with NAMB/SETA;
• NAMB registration as a trade testing official;
• Valid driver’s licence.

Key Responsibilities (Duties)

• Plan, facilitate and administer training processes;
• Provide training to apprentices according to the training schedule;
• Facilitate mechanical fitter skills training to unemployed youth of varied ability;
• Manage a simulated workshop environment;
• Implement and facilitate ongoing training aligned to industry and NQF standards;
• Prepare, review and administer assessments;
• Maintain training registers and practical simulated exposure records;
• Compile exit level projects and monthly reports;
• Collect and review Portfolios of Evidence (POE);
• Design, monitor and deliver on the implementation plan;
• Provide learners with an understanding of the Mechanical Fitter industry;
• Conduct baseline assessments to confirm candidate understanding;
• Conduct toolkits gap training and trade test preparation;
• Manage workshop tools and equipment (procurement and safekeeping);
• Conduct risk assessments; investigate and report incidents;
• Conduct site visits to companies where learners are placed and compile monitoring reports;
• Monitor learners at the workplace.

• NEW Z83 Application for Employment Form (effective from 01 January 2021)
  (Old Z83 forms will be disqualified)
• Comprehensive CV with three (3) contactable references (include email addresses);
• Original certified copy of SACE Certificate;
• Original certified copies of qualifications (DHET & SAQA evaluated if foreign);
• Original certified copies of academic record/transcript;
• Original certified copy of Identity Document (front and back if ID card);
• Original certified copy of driver’s licence (front and back, if applicable).

NB: Certifications must not be older than six (6) months.
Shortlisted candidates will undergo vetting (citizenship, criminal record, qualification verification, social media and credit checks).
