The Construction Education and Training Authority (CETA) is inviting applications for the position of Senior Evaluator based in Midrand.

CETA seeks to establish a panel of Technical Advisors for a period of 3–5 years to assist with annual Discretionary Grant (DG) window assessments. This is not a permanent position. Successful candidates will be appointed on a contract basis and compensated at an hourly rate when called upon.

Job Purpose

The Senior Evaluator will lead and oversee evaluation processes for DG applications, ensuring full compliance with regulatory frameworks, internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and public sector governance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the evaluation process for DG applications
  • Ensure compliance with approved SOPs and evaluation criteria
  • Moderate scoring inconsistencies across evaluators
  • Consolidate and compile final evaluation reports
  • Submit final technical outcomes to DGETPAC
  • Provide complete audit trail documentation
  • Ensure adherence to governance and risk management standards

Minimum Requirements

  • NQF Level 8 qualification in:
    • Audit
    • Risk Management
    • Supply Chain Management (SCM)
    • Project Management
    • Human Resources
    • Or related field
  • Minimum 5+ years relevant experience

Required Knowledge

  • DG evaluation frameworks
  • Public sector compliance
  • PFMA and SCM regulations
  • Audit and risk governance
  • SOP adherence
  • Moderation processes
