Job Purpose
Transnet RNC OHTE is seeking a reliable and experienced Snr Service Driver (Code 10 & 14 PDP) to provide safe, efficient, and professional driving services for EEW staff. The role requires strict adherence to road safety regulations, vehicle care standards, and operational efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Valid Code 10 Driver’s License (Code 14 advantageous)
- Valid PDP (Professional Driving Permit)
- Must pass a Fleet Management Driver Assessment
- Previous professional driving experience will be an advantage
Skills & Competencies Required
- Strong knowledge of road rules and traffic regulations
- Basic vehicle maintenance and care
- Map reading and route planning
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
- High attention to detail
- Strong planning and organisational ability
- Advanced driving competence and safety awareness
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe and efficient transport for EEW staff
- Ensure vehicles are clean, safe, and roadworthy at all times
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report defects
- Maintain accurate log sheets and trip records
- Manage fuel usage and submit fuel reports
- Comply with all road traffic laws and Transnet policies
Important Working Conditions
- Valid Code 10 licence with PDP is mandatory
- Must be willing to work flexible hours
- Must be open to travelling and working away from home depot
- Must provide proof of residence
- Must attach:
- Certified copy of ID
- Certified copy of school report
