Role Purpose
The Administrative Clerk will provide essential administrative and project support to the LQR team, which manages a programme portfolio for a major oil and gas company in South Africa.
This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth daily operations by supporting project coordination, maintaining accurate documentation, and assisting with financial administration. You will also work closely with the Administrative Manager on project setup and financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
Project Administration
- Track and manage waste manifests and maintain tracking systems
- Compile weekly site work schedules
- Prepare weekly and monthly meeting minutes
- Generate purchase orders and maintain document records
- Follow up on outstanding payments
Project Set-Up & Data Management (Support Role)
- Assist in setting up new projects and proposals
- Maintain project budgets and updates
- Manage project data, including phases, forecasts, and invoices
Financial Administration (Support Role)
- Support client invoicing processes
- Assist with project estimates and forecasting
- Help conduct financial health checks on projects
Qualifications & Experience
- 1–2 years’ experience in an administrative role
- Diploma or certificate in Administration (preferred)
- Experience in consulting or technical environments is an advantage
- Basic understanding of financial processes such as invoicing and budgeting is beneficial
Skills & Competencies
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- High attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to learn and use new systems and platforms
- Good written and communication skills
