Cerebos is currently recruiting four Analytical Chemistry Interns for a 12-month internship programme based at the Coega Industrial Development Zone (IDZ) in Gqeberha. This opportunity is ideal for graduates who want to gain practical laboratory experience within a leading food manufacturing environment.
The internship provides hands-on exposure to laboratory testing, chemical analysis, equipment calibration, product inspection, and quality control processes. Furthermore, successful candidates will gain experience in laboratory operations, safety procedures, data analysis, and compliance with industry standards.

Position: Analytical Chemistry Intern

Key Responsibilities
Successful interns will be responsible for:
- Performing laboratory tests and analysis
- Preparing and standardising chemical solutions
- Conducting scale verification and equipment calibration
- Recording, reporting, and analysing test results
- Performing product inspections
- Managing waste disposal according to procedures
- Monitoring laboratory stock levels
- Maintaining laboratory housekeeping standards
- Attending training sessions and meetings
- Following quality, health, safety, and environmental regulations
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate
- National Diploma or Degree in Analytical Chemistry
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures and practices
- Basic Microsoft Office skills
