Role Purpose
The Enrolled Nurse Specialised – Theatre will conduct nursing activities to ensure optimal patient care within the theatre environment. The role requires strict adherence to infection control, safety standards, and hospital policies while supporting the surgical team to maintain excellence in clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver quality patient care in accordance with SANC regulations and relevant legislation
- Ensure compliance with Life Healthcare policies and procedures
- Maintain health, safety and infection control standards
- Support effective utilisation of theatre resources
- Ensure proper maintenance and handling of theatre equipment
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Provide patient education where required
- Build and maintain effective relationships with doctors, patients and multidisciplinary teams
- Contribute to a safe and efficient theatre environment
Requirements
- Qualification as an Enrolled Nurse
- Current registration with SANC
- Theatre nursing experience (advantageous)
- Ability to work shifts according to operational requirements
- Understanding of the private healthcare industry (advantageous)
- Computer literacy
- Valid driver’s license and own transport
