About the Role

We are looking for a diligent and proactive Junior Office Administrator to be the backbone of our daily office functions. This role is ideal for someone who has completed or is pursuing the National Certificate in Business Administration Services (NQF Level 3, SAQA ID 67465) and is ready to apply their skills in communication, customer service, and office management in a vibrant work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative support including filing, data entry, and managing office supplies.
- Communication Hub: Handle internal and external communication via phone, email, and in-person inquiries professionally.
- Meeting & Event Coordination: Assist in coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, taking minutes, and organizing minor office events or travel arrangements.
- Document Processing: Produce professional word processing documents, spreadsheets, and reports for business use.
- Reception & Customer Service: Monitor and control the reception area, ensuring all visitors are received and assisted courteously.
- Systems Maintenance: Maintain booking systems (e.g., meeting rooms, resources) and monitor office equipment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Essential: National Certificate in Business Administration Services (NQF Level 3, SAQA ID 67465) OR equivalent qualification/certificate in Office Administration.
- Advantageous: Practical exposure to unit standards such as:
- SAQA 7570: Produce word processing documents for business.
- SAQA 7567: Produce and use spreadsheets for business.
- SAQA 13929: Coordinate meetings, minor events and travel arrangements.
- SAQA 13928: Monitor and control reception area.
- Skills: Strong verbal and written communication, proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel), excellent organizational skills, and a customer-focused attitude.
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in an office environment. School-leavers or recent graduates with the relevant qualification are welcome to apply.
