Shell Bursary Programme 2026

Who can apply

  • You must be a South African citizen.
  • You must have passed Matric with at least 75% average, and 75% or more in Pure Maths, Physical Science and English.
  • You must come from a disadvantaged background.
  • You should be starting your first year in 2026 and have applied at a mainstream (non‑private) university or TVET college in South Africa.
  • Your field of study must be STEM‑related (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics).

What to submit

  • A certified copy of your ID.
  • Your latest Grade 12 results and your matric certificate once confirmed.
  • An acceptance letter from a recognised mainstream university in South Africa (not private).
  • A motivation letter.
