Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, applicants must:
- Be a South African citizen under 35 years old
- Be studying full-time in a relevant field
- Have a family income below R650,000 per year
- Come from disadvantaged schools, rural areas, or underprivileged communities (preferred)
- Have:
- APS 42+ (Matric applicants) OR
- 65%+ average (tertiary students)
- Be accepted at a South African public university or University of Technology
Required Documents
Applicants must submit:
- Certified copy of South African ID
- Latest academic results (or mid-year results)
- Matric certificate (if applicable)
- Motivation letter (max 2 pages)
- Proof of household income
- Death certificate(s) if applicable
- Divorce certificate or sworn affidavit (if applicable)
