Eligibility Criteria

To qualify, applicants must:

  • Be a South African citizen under 35 years old
  • Be studying full-time in a relevant field
  • Have a family income below R650,000 per year
  • Come from disadvantaged schools, rural areas, or underprivileged communities (preferred)
  • Have:
    • APS 42+ (Matric applicants) OR
    • 65%+ average (tertiary students)
  • Be accepted at a South African public university or University of Technology

Required Documents

Applicants must submit:

  • Certified copy of South African ID
  • Latest academic results (or mid-year results)
  • Matric certificate (if applicable)
  • Motivation letter (max 2 pages)
  • Proof of household income
  • Death certificate(s) if applicable
  • Divorce certificate or sworn affidavit (if applicable)
